DESCRIPTION:HFF Annual Picnic \nA reminder that the annual HFF picnic will be May 10. Once again\, the Clarke’s have offered their home on Lake Lemon as a site for our festivities. We will get started around 11:00 and eat at noonish.  The club will provide burgers and hotdogs\, buns\, chips and soft drinks. We will all bring a side dish to round out the feast. The club will provide soft drinks\, BYO adult beverages.  Please let Barry know if you are attending so he can have enough food. DESCRIPTION:The March meeting will begin with an evening meal at 6PM and meeting at 7PM. We will be prepping for the upcoming events planned with the Monroe County 4-H Kids of Bloomington. The program is “Fly Fishing for Bluegills”. We need bluegill flies. If you can tie up some or bring some to the meeting that would help out a lot. HFF meetings are always open to the public. If you are interested in fly fishing or would like to help out with the 4-H kids come to this meeting.

SUMMARY:January 2025 HFF Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The program this month will be brain storming for our role in the 4H program “Fly Fishing for Bluegills.”  The program will be in two parts. The first will be online on March 19th and the second will be on March 22 with fly casting  demo and practice at Fairfax Beech. We will be discussing ways to best conduct our role in this 4H event and looking for volunteers for the events.  \nThe tying demo will be a Turkey Feather Muddler. This was originally  set for November to honor Turkeys for their drumsticks but ran out of time. So we will do it this month to honor the Turkeys for their wonderful feathers for fly tying.\n Looking forward to seeing you all on the 21st.  Dinner at 6:00 and the program at 7:00.
